Last Tuesday night (20 November) after work, I was at Calvary Presbyterian Church (http://calvarypresbyterianchurch.org/) for this month's IPMS/Gateway (https://sites.google.com/view/ipmsgatewaychapter/home) meeting. I helped to finish setting up the Fellowship Hall for our meeting and meeting with fellow club members.
This month's meeting had the final Modeler of the Year Contest for 2018. I hoped to have an entry, but ran into some problems and could not get the model finished in time. We did have six entries, including three in the Special Category "The Great War," of World War I subjects. Several other models--completed and in progress--were on the display table.
We had nominations for next year's executive board and for this year's Bob Stroup Award for outstanding service. Yours truly took down the nominations in my role as Secretary, and was the only person nominated for that position for next year.
This meeting also had a demo by Marion Morris on cockpit shading, which I found very interesting. There was a lower than average turnout, due I believe to Thanksgiving being only two days away.
Later.
