Pleasant Afternoon Refereeing Soccer in Maryland Heights

Not much to write about lately. We did have the election on 3 November. I cast my vote early in the day, before going to work. About the results: Win some, lose some.

Been refereeing St. Louis Youth Soccer Association (https://www.slysa.org/) matches the past few Sundays, including two matches this afternoon at Sportport International (http://www.sportportintl.com/) in Maryland Heights. This was the last Sunday of the fall outdoor season. I ran line on an under 14 boys match, then had the middle on an under 13 boys match. The latter was quite competitive; although the home side won 2-0, both teams had great chances to score. The players were there to play, and I had no cautions or send offs to make. All was well that ended well.

Last week's IPMS/Gateway (https://sites.google.com/view/ipmsgatewaychapter/home) meeting was cancelled, due to our venue, the Affton Elks Lodge (https://www.elks.org/lodges/home.cfm?LodgeNumber=2635), having to close because of COVID-19 restrictions passed late the previous week by St. Louis County (https://stlouiscountymo.gov/). Hopefully, the restrictions will be lifted by the time we are scheduled to meet next month.

Later.
