IPMS/Gateway Meets in August 2019

Right after work this past Tuesday (20 August), I headed straight for Calvary Presbyterian Church (http://calvarypresbyterianchurch.org/) in Mehlville for this month's IPMS/Gateway (https://sites.google.com/view/ipmsgatewaychapter/home) meeting. We had a recap of the recent IPMS/USA National Convention in Chattanooga. I provided a thumb drive with pictures I took of the show, which were projected onto the wall during the meeting.

I also provided some models for Marion Morris' seminar on contest judging. Several members took in this talk on what judges look for in contest models. We will need some judges for our Invitational contest next month (14 September).

Also on display were Rick Keasey's four award-winning models and Caleb Duttlinger's award-winning model from Chattanooga, along with the awards they earned.

I even brought along the pre-production 1:48 scale kit of the P-38F/G Lightning by Tamiya (https://www.tamiyausa.com/) that I won in Chattanooga. The kit goes on general sale in November.
